Privacy policy

ServerWorth is run by Grey Fox Limited ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the small amount of personal data this website handles. The short version: we don't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and we don't sell or share your data.
What we collect
Server logs. Like almost every website, our web server records each request: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, the page you came from, and your browser's user-agent string. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure, for example to investigate errors or abuse. We also use them, on our own server, to count visits: how many people visit, which pages are popular, and which sites link to us. Those counts are made with IP addresses anonymised, and no other company is involved. The logs are deleted automatically after 14 days. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: running a reliable, secure website.
Your country, for local prices. When you open the comparison table, our server looks up which country your IP address belongs to, using a database stored on our own server. This lets us show prices in your currency with your country's VAT. The result goes only to your browser. It isn't recorded, logged or shared, and nothing is stored on your device. You can change the currency, VAT and location at any time.
Clicks on links to providers. When you click a link to a provider (such as "View deal"), your browser tells our server which provider and plan you clicked and which of our pages you were on. We add this to a daily count, along with the country your IP address belongs to (looked up as above). We don't record your IP address or anything else that could identify you, and nothing is stored on your device. The link itself goes straight to the provider. We use these counts to see which pages and plans people find useful.
Emails you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and address so that we can reply, and for as long as we need them to deal with what you asked about.
What we don't do
- We don't set cookies, and we don't use local storage or any other tracking technology.
- We don't use analytics services, advertising networks or social media widgets.
- Fonts, country lookups and every other file are served from our own server, so visiting a page doesn't send your details to any other company.
Links to providers
When you click "View deal", you go to the provider's own website, where their privacy policy applies. Some of these links are referral links, so the provider or its affiliate network may set a cookie to record that you came from us. That cookie is set by them, not by us.
Where your data is kept
Our server logs are kept on our own server, and we don't transfer them to anyone else.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. To make a request, email grobson@greyfoxlimited.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
